Phoenix Project

We are working hard daily to improve our capacity to
deliver more services to our BAME communities, but to do this with due sensitivity to the Covid19
government requirements and our communities’ fears and confusion about the risk of infection and
the measures they should take to mitigate this risk.
We are aware of Covid19 impact on our communities (being BAME, and many facing deprivation
and/or poor health), plus the personal barriers they will face in the economic aftermath e.g. fewer
jobs and services and facilities may have closed. We want to help our communities to prevent
difficulties escalating and to emerge stronger from the crisis, but in the light of Covid19 we want also
to develop and enhance our services, along with explaining to the communities the prevalent
Covid19 requirements (contact tracing, facemasks etc)
