SBE 2024 Beneficiary Frugal Empowerment Foundation
Karmo, Abuja
In the bustling community of Karmo, near Idu, Gbagyi by the Transformer, Angela stands behind her modest fruit stand with quiet strength. A hardworking woman and a familiar face to her customers, she sells seasonal fruits mangoes, oranges, pineapples, and more to support herself and contribute to her household.
In 2024, Angela was selected as a beneficiary of the Frugal Empowerment Foundation’s Small Business Empowerment (SBE) Project, receiving much-needed financial support to strengthen her business. With the funds, she was able to increase her stock, improve her display setup, and attract more customers from the neighborhood.
I’m very grateful to FEF for remembering women like me, Angela says. The money helped me restock and grow, but things are still hard. Fruit prices go up, and sometimes I can’t meet customer demand. I need more support to really stand on my feet.
Angela’s journey is one of persistence and purpose. Her small fruit business is more than just a means of income it’s a symbol of hope, independence, and dignity. But to keep going and growing, she needs consistent support.
With your help, Angela’s stall can become a stable, thriving business. Let’s invest in women like her”because when we empower one woman, we strengthen an entire community.
