Patience is a petty trader whose quiet resilience tells a powerful story. Each morning, she arranges her small table with everyday items seasonings, sachet water, soap whatever she can afford to sell. With each sale, she moves a little closer to feeding her children and keeping her household running.
But the path is far from easy. The prices of goods keep rising, and restocking has become more difficult than ever. Some days, she barely makes enough to cover her costs, let alone turn a profit. Still, Patience shows up, refusing to give up.
In 2024, Patience was selected as one of the beneficiaries of the Frugal Empowerment Foundation’s Small Business Empowerment (SBE) Project. With the financial support she received, she was able to restock her stall and offer more variety to her customers giving her a much-needed boost.
I’m very grateful to FEF, Patience shares. The money helped me move forward, even if just a little. But I’m still struggling. I need more help to grow and stand strong.
