Shirley B Retains Crown, Makes History with Back-to-Back GYMPAC Titles

Shirley B has once again proven her exceptional talent by successfully defending her title at the GYMPAC 2026 Music Contest, becoming the first artist to win the prestigious competition for two consecutive years. Her outstanding performance captivated both the judges and the audience, earning her the championship crown for the second straight year and cementing her place as one of the brightest young stars to emerge from the Greenwich Youth Music Performance and Awards Ceremony.
The competition featured an impressive lineup of talented performers who delivered memorable performances throughout the event. Brado secured 2nd place with an energetic and inspiring performance, while Pretty Christy (Christiana) claimed 3rd place, impressing the judges with her confidence and vocal strength. Lucia, one of last year’s top performers, finished in 4th place, followed by Free B in 5th, Juliana in 6th, Harry in 7th, and Phiye (Mr. Phil) taking 8th place.

Caring Saturday’s โ FEF Continues Impact on the Elderly Community with another Successful Outreach at Upland Residential Care Home



The Frugal Empowerment Foundation (FEF) recorded another milestone following another highly successful outreach at Upland Residential Care Home on 11th July 2026.
The July edition brought together volunteers, caregivers, and residents for a memorable day filled with companionship, meaningful conversations, entertainment, and acts of kindness that brightened the lives of elderly residents.
The success reaffirmed FEF’s commitment to promoting dignity, inclusion, and emotional well-being among older people through consistent community engagement. Residents expressed appreciation for the visit, while volunteers described the experience as both inspiring and deeply rewarding.
Caring Saturdays remains one of FEF’s humanitarian programmes, dedicated to reducing loneliness and creating meaningful moments for elderly people living in residential care homes.
The success of the Upland Residential Care Home outreach further strengthens FEF’s resolve to expand the programme and reach more care homes as part of its 2026 impact agenda. August edition is loading already and FEF Team UK is getting ready for another experience.

Caring Saturday’s: Waterside Residential Care Home Set to Host FEF on 8th August 2026
The Elderly Caring Saturdays outreach programme will this August move to Waterside Residential Care Home on Saturday, 8th August 2026, at 2:30 p.m.
The outreach forms part of FEF’s ongoing mission to bring hope, companionship, and joy to elderly residents in the UK through meaningful interactions, volunteer service, and community engagement.
Following the success of the July edition at Upland Residential Care Home, the Foundation is looking forward to another memorable afternoon of friendship, laughter, and encouragement with residents at Waterside Residential Care Home.
Volunteers will engage residents through conversations, music, light entertainment, games, and other activities designed to promote emotional well-being and reduce social isolation among older adults.
FEF has also extended an invitation to individuals, community groups, and corporate partners who are passionate about elderly care to support the initiative through volunteering, sponsorship, or donations.

Fundraising: FEF Begins Campaign for Funds for SBE, Greenwich Festive Aid, Caring Saturdays
The fundraising campaigns to support three of the FEF major humanitarian initiatives: Small Business Empowerment (SBE) 2026, Greenwich Festive Aid (GFA) 2026, and Caring Saturdays 2026 begin this August as the foundation begins to narrow down towards to final execution of the humanitarian project 2026.
The campaign is aimed at mobilising financial support from individuals, corporate organisations, philanthropists, grant-making bodies, and development partners to enable the Foundation to expand its impact during the final quarter of the year.
Through the Small Business Empowerment (SBE) 2026 project, FEF will provide grants and business support to women petty traders and aspiring entrepreneurs, helping them build sustainable businesses and improve their livelihoods.



The Greenwich Festive Aid (GFA) 2026 initiative seeks to provide food hampers, essential items, and festive relief to vulnerable individuals and families during the Christmas season, ensuring that more households experience the joy and hope of the Yuletide.



Meanwhile, Caring Saturdays 2026 will extend beyond its mission of reaching elderly residents in care homes to reaching out to international communities hosting the charitable event in states in Nigeria in a bid to relief burdens and reduce poverty and its impact.

SBE 2026: Orientation and Training Programme Scheduled for August and September

The Frugal Empowerment Foundation (FEF) has announced that the Orientation and Training Programme for beneficiaries of the Small Business Empowerment (SBE) 2026 project will take place throughout August and September 2026.
The programme marks a significant stage in the implementation of the SBE initiative, as registered beneficiaries prepare to receive the knowledge, skills, and guidance needed to maximize the impact of the empowerment project.
The orientation sessions will introduce participants to the objectives of the programme, beneficiary expectations, financial responsibility, business ethics, and effective grant utilization. In addition, the training will equip participants with practical entrepreneurial skills, business management techniques, customer service strategies, record keeping, and basic financial planning to help them build sustainable and profitable businesses.
According to SBE Team, the orientation and training phase is designed to ensure that beneficiaries are adequately prepared before the next stages of the project, including grant support and business development activities.
