Zainab is a trader
SBE 2024 Beneficiary Frugal Empowerment Foundation
Zainab is a small business owner who sells fresh pepper in the local market. It’s a tough business, but it’s how she provides for her family—making sure there’s food on the table and her children can go to school.
Every day, Zainab faces rising costs, especially with transporting and buying fresh pepper. Some days are slow, and spoilage is a big problem. But she keeps going, determined to make her business work.
In 2024, Zainab was selected as a beneficiary of the Frugal Empowerment Foundation’s Small Business Empowerment (SBE) Project. With the support she received, she was able to buy more pepper in bulk, attract more customers, and increase her daily income.
I thank FEF for supporting me. It helped my business a lot, but things are still hard. I still need more help to grow, Zainab says.
Her story is a reflection of many women like her strong, hardworking, and full of potential. With your support, we can help them build stable businesses and brighter futures.
