Basilia Ani

SBE 2024 Beneficiary Frugal Empowerment Foundation

Basilia is a small business owner who sells abacha and coconut to support her family. Her stall may be simple, but it means everything to her it helps her earn a living and provide for her children.

Running her business is not easy. The cost of ingredients and supplies keeps going up, and sometimes it’s hard to get fresh coconuts and abacha to sell. But Basilia works hard every day and does her best to keep her business alive.

In 2024, Basilia was selected as a beneficiary of the Frugal Empowerment Foundation’s Small Business Empowerment (SBE) Project. With the help she received, she was able to buy more ingredients, prepare more abacha and coconut, and serve more customers. This helped her increase her daily income.

I’m thankful to FEF for their support. It helped my business grow, but things are still tough. I need more help to become stronger, Basilia says.

Her story is one of many hardworking women who want to succeed and improve their lives ”they just need a little support. Together, we can help women like Basilia build brighter futures.
