Blessing Ushie lives in Karmo, Abuja, and sells seasonal fruits to support her family. Every day, she sits by the roadside, hoping to sell enough to buy food and take care of her home. But things are not easy. Prices of fruits keep going up, and it’s hard to restock and make profit.
In 2024, she got support from the Frugal empowerment foundation’s Small Business Empowerment (SBE) Project. She received an amount of money to support her fruit business. With this, she was able to buy more fruits and attract more customers. Her sales improved, and she was very happy
I thank FEF for remembering people like me. The money helped me, but things are still hard. I still need more help to grow and stand strong, Blessing said.
Even though the support helped her take a step forward, life is still tough. The cost of goods keeps rising, and as a mother and trader, she has many challenges.
There are many women like Blessing”hardworking and determined”but they need more support. With your help, we can give them a better chance to grow their businesses and take care of their families.
