In a small corner of her neighborhood, with a simple tray and a determined spirit, Promise Chinenye carries out her daily hustle selling snacks and groundnuts to earn a living and support her family. Whether it’s puff-puff, chin chin, or freshly roasted groundnuts, Promise puts effort and care into every sale.
In 2024, Promise was selected as a proud beneficiary of the Frugal Empowerment Foundation’s Small Business Empowerment (SBE) Project, receiving a modest but meaningful financial boost to support her business. With the funds, she was able to buy more supplies, increase her production, and serve more customers in her community.
I’m thankful to FEF for helping me grow my business,Promise shares. The support helped me buy more groundnuts and ingredients for snacks. But things are still hard,costs are going up, and I need more help to keep the business running smoothly.
