SBE 2024 Beneficiary – Frugal Empowerment Foundation
Ibeju Ikeja, Lagos
In a community where economic opportunities are limited and daily survival takes grit, Praise emerges with quiet determination. A young woman with a clear goal, Praise aspires to start a seasonal fruits business offering mangoes, oranges, pineapples, and watermelons to support herself and help uplift her household.
In 2024, Praise was chosen as a beneficiary of the Frugal Empowerment Foundation’s Small Business Empowerment (SBE) Project, receiving essential startup capital to launch her fruit-selling venture. With this modest support, she began purchasing seasonal produce and set up a small roadside stall, drawing interest from passersby and neighbors alike. Her dedication is unwavering but the hurdles remain significant.
I’m grateful to FEF for believing in me. The support helped me start something of my own, Praise says. But business is still tough. Prices keep rising, and it’s hard to get enough stock or reach more customers. I still need more help to grow.
Praises’ journey reflects the untapped potential in many women across Nigeria”entrepreneurs at heart, ready to succeed if only given the right tools. Her story is not just about fruit sales; it’s about resilience, hope, and the power of opportunity.
With your support, we can help Praise turn her small beginning into a stable, thriving business. Let’s work together to create lasting change one woman, one business at a time.
