Joy is a petty trader who sells everyday items to support her family. Her small table at the roadside may look simple, but it means everything to her—it’s how she feeds her children and keeps hope alive.
Each day brings new challenges. Prices keep going up, and restocking her goods is getting harder. But no matter how tough things get, Joy doesn’t give up. She keeps showing up, hoping for better days.
In 2024, Joy was selected as a beneficiary of the Frugal Empowerment Foundation’s Small Business Empowerment (SBE) Project. The small support she received helped her add more items to her stall and draw in more customers. Her daily sales improved, and for that, she is truly grateful.
I really thank FEF for remembering people like me. The help pushed my business forward a little, but things are still hard. I still need more support to stand strong, Joy shares.
