Nanna is a petty trader
Profile: Nanshal Nanna
SBE 2024 Beneficiary – Frugal Empowerment Foundation
Petty Trader | Karmo, by Last Gate, FCT Abuja
In the bustling neighborhood of Karmo, by Last Gate, FCT, Nanshal Nanna starts her day before sunrise. With a humble tray of bananas and groundnuts, she walks long distances, seeking buyers who will help her earn just enough to feed her children. For Nanna, each day is a battle between survival and hope.
When the Frugal Empowerment Foundation (FEF) reached her through the Small Business Empowerment (SBE) Project in 2024, it was a ray of light in a life filled with challenges. The small grant helped her restock her goods, giving her business a temporary lift. But as Nanna puts it, “This support is a blessing, but the road is still long and hard. I need more help to stand on my own.”
Her story is one of quiet strength—of a woman doing all she can with so little. Yet, the high cost of goods, limited capital, and lack of proper market space threaten to undo her every gain. Nanna dreams of expanding her trade, building a kiosk, and enrolling her children in school without fear of hunger.
With your support, we can help Nanna move from survival to stability. Your donation, partnership, or contribution—no matter how small—can change her life forever.
