SBE 2024 Beneficiary Frugal Empowerment Foundation
Zone 9, Airport Road, Lugbe Abuja
Oge Archibong is a hairstylist living in Lugbe, Abuja. From her small salon space in Zone 9, she makes people look good plaiting hair, fixing weaves, and styling for special occasions. Her work is her passion, and it’s also how she supports herself. But running a salon isn’t easy. Prices of hair products and equipment keep rising, and customers sometimes can’t afford full services.
In 2024, Oge received support from the Frugal Empowerment Foundation’s Small Business Empowerment (SBE) Project. The small financial support helped her buy more hair products and improve her service. With that boost, more clients started coming in, and her business picked up.
I’m so grateful to FEF. The money came at the right time. I was able to restock some things, and it helped my business. But things are still hard. I need more help to grow and expand, Oge shared.
While the support gave her hope and a better chance, the challenges have completely gone away. The cost of doing business remains high, and she still dreams of owning a bigger, well-equipped salon.
Oge’s story shows the power of small support. Many women like her have the skills and the drive”they just need a little help to shine. With your support, we can help them build stronger businesses and brighter futures.
