Blessing is a petty trader whose strength lies in her determination to provide for her family, one small sale at a time. Each day, she sets up her stall, selling items like sachet water, snacks, and small household goods. Her earnings are modest, but they help put food on the table and keep her children in school.
Like many others in her position, Blessing faces serious challenges”rising costs, low profit margins, and the constant pressure of restocking with limited capital. Some days, she barely breaks even. But she refuses to give up.
In 2024, Blessing was selected as a beneficiary of the Frugal Empowerment Foundations Small Business Empowerment (SBE) Project. With the financial support she received, she was able to restock her stall, offer more goods to her customers, and slightly improve her daily income.
I’m thankful to FEF, Blessing shares. The help made a difference, but things are still tough. I need more support to grow my business and take care of my family properly.
Blessing’s story is one of perseverance. Like her, many petty traders have the drive to succeed but lack the tools and resources to grow. The SBE support lit a spark”but more is needed to keep the flame burning.
