Mary is a trader

SBE 2024 Beneficiary Frugal Empowerment Foundation

Mary is a petty trader who works hard every day to support her family. From her small stall, she sells everyday items to people in her community. It may not be much, but it’s her way of putting food on the table and keeping her children in school.

Like many petty traders, Mary faces a lot of challenges. Prices keep rising, and it’s often difficult to restock her goods. But she doesn’t give up”she keeps showing up, determined to make a better life.

In 2024, Mary was chosen as a beneficiary of the Frugal Empowerment Foundation’s Small Business Empowerment (SBE) Project. With the support she received, she was able to add more items to her stall, attract more customers, and improve her daily sales.

I’m really grateful to FEF. The help made a big difference in my business. But things are still hard, and I need more support to grow,Mary says.

Mary’s story is one of courage and persistence. There are many women like her willing to work, ready to grow if only they get the support they need. Together, we can help them build stronger businesses and brighter futures.
