SBE 2024 Beneficiary Frugal Empowerment Foundation
Zainab is a trader, she sells roasted maize
Zainab is a small business owner who sells roasted corn by the roadside. Each day, she sets up her spot with hope, using her hands and hard work to earn a living and take care of her family.
Roasted corn is a seasonal business, and Zainab faces many challenges. Sometimes it’s hard to find good corn, and the cost of charcoal keeps rising. But Zainab doesn’t give up she keeps going, no matter how tough things get.
In 2024, Zainab was selected as a beneficiary of the Frugal Empowerment Foundation’s Small Business Empowerment (SBE) Project. With the support she received, she was able to buy more corn, restock her supplies, and serve more customers. Her sales improved, and so did her confidence.
I thank FEF for their support. It really helped me, but I still need more help to grow my business and take care of my family, Zainab says.
Zainab’s story is one of strength and determination. Many women like her are doing their best to survive they just need a little support to thrive. With your help, we can turn their efforts into lasting change.
