SBE 2024 Beneficiary Frugal Empowerment Foundation

Grace is a determined woman whose small rice business is more than a source of income ”it’s her family’s lifeline. Each day, she sets up her stall, hoping to earn enough to cover food, school fees, and basic needs for her children. But the odds are steep. Rising prices, insecurity, and the high cost of restocking goods make survival a daily struggle.

In 2024, Grace was selected as a beneficiary of the Frugal Empowerment Foundation’s Small Business Empowerment (SBE) Project. With the modest financial support she received, she was able to buy more bags of rice, increase her stock, and attract more customers. The boost helped her improve her daily sales and ease some of her financial stress.

I’m grateful to FEF for supporting people like me, Grace says. The money helped, but business is still hard. I still need more help to keep going and grow.

Grace’s story is a powerful reminder that many women have the drive and determination to succeed but lack access to the resources they need. The SBE support gave her a spark of hope but more consistent help is needed to build lasting change.

With your continued support, we can help women like Grace move from survival to stability, and from small steps to true empowerment.
