Naomi is a small business owner
SBE 2024 Beneficiary Frugal Empowerment Foundation
Naomi is a resilient petty trader who sells vegetables and palm oil at a small roadside stall. For her, the business is more than a source of income it’s her only means of survival and the hope she holds on to for her future.
Every day, she faces the harsh reality of rising prices, insecurity, and the constant struggle to restock her goods. Despite these challenges, Naomi pushes forward with determination and grit.
In 2024, Naomi was selected as a beneficiary of the Frugal Empowerment Foundation’s Small Business Empowerment (SBE) Project. With the modest financial support she received, Naomi expanded her palm oil stock, which helped her attract more customers and slightly increase her daily income. It was a much-needed boost.
I appreciate what FEF has done for me. The support helped my business, but things are still difficult. I need more help to grow and be stable, Naomi shares.
Her story is a reflection of many other women who are willing to work hard and build better lives but lack the resources to do so. With continued support, we can help women like Naomi turn small sparks into lasting change.
